Strut Rod is bolted to the lower control arm, and affixes to a
bushing on the frame of the car. Loosen the 19mm bolt from the
end of the strut rod where it goes through the bushing. Pay attention
to the orientation of the bushings as they come off. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> 
Use a socket and a wrench to remove the
17mm bolts that connect it to the lower control arm.

The swaybar
on ea81 models is connected to the strut rods and the frame. Remove
the clamps from the strut rods with a 10mm wrench.

Swaybar on EA82 connects to a shackle on the lower control arm,
mounts on the front cross member. Remove the 12mm nut and bolt
from the lower end of the shackle. The swaybar be totally removed
by removing the 12mm bolts that hold their mounts. There are several
thicknesses of swaybars depending on the model. Any of these swaybars
will interchange.

the strut rod and swaybar disconnected, and the strut out (or ball
joint removed) the lower control arm will swing up and down freely.
It is bolted onto the front cross member with a 14mm bolt and nut.
Remove the bolt and there is your lower control arm!
