Adjustment

The parking
brake lever is connected to the Front Calipers

lever end of cableThe
parking brake can be adjusted in the car. Remove the cover
plate on the center console directly under the lever itself.
You will see a metal bracket with a shank thru and a nut. On
each end the parking brake cables attaches like a bicycle brake
cable. There will be a 10mm nut that can be turned to tighten
the cables. The evenness of the cables will depend on the wear
of the brake pads.

Replacement

To replace
the parking brake cables, follow the adjustment procedure.

caliper end of cableLoosen
the nut so that there is enough play to move the metal bracket
around. Remove the two clips from the cable with a small screwdriver
or some pliers. On the caliper, grab the end of the cable with
some pliers and pull it around so it comes out of its groove.
Remove the clip that holds the cable to the bracket on the
caliper. There will be clamps that hold the cable to the suspension
with a 10mm bolt. Up in the transmission tunnel, the cable
will be fixed with tabs that fold over the cable that can be
bent out of the way.  Now
remove the cable from the parking brake lever, and pull the
cable out from under the car
